I am number Six.
Am I blind? Where is zone 11? Is it because it’s a master number? I can’t find zone seven either. 7-11. What does it mean?
Higher plane spiritual zones? One each for east and west? Idealic places where developers serve and not rule through lackeys, where an afternoon stroll can still yield a pleasant surprise. Next time somebody asks me where I live, I’ll tell them: “Zone 7.”
7 and 1 can be confused and so they left 7 out. Likewise 11 if not printed clearly could be confused as 1. Remember these were read by people not machines.
While depriving us of mystery and secrecy, your rational explanation is appreciated.
This all could’ve been avoided if they’d crossed their sevens like any sane person would. Don’t know if they made crossed sevens in that nifty font though. Not to mention the blunders 6 and 9 posed. .. kitsilano and fairview mail going to strathcona and grandview woodlands! But I’ve already said too many neighborhood names now… the city won’t be pleased. As explained here
we don’t use the “n” word anymore.
“Areas of the City
“Here on the City of Vancouver website, we refer to areas, not neighbourhoods. From Arbutus to the West End, you can learn more about a particular part of the city.
“Each of the 21 city areas has its own page with community-specific information: local services and amenities, city news, projects and initiatives, and a calendar of events. Areas of the city may also include several smaller neighbourhoods that would not generate enough news and events on their own.”
I guess “neighbourhood” comes with too much baggage, like community and liveability. “Areas” is so much less distinct and builder-friendly. Unbelievable.
